What is the difference between MiniLease and a leasing?
MiniLease is a car subscription without a binding contract. The minimum duration of lease is 30 days. The vehicle continues to be owned by Herold Fahrzeugvermietung AG. You do not have to make a down payment for a MiniLease vehicle.
Is there a credit card check?
Yes, your credit card will be checked for creditworthiness on vehicle subscription and a security amount will be blocked. However, there is no credit rating check. A down payment is not necessary.
Can I use my Yellow Card for a MiniLease subscription?
Yes, with the Yellwo Card you will receive 10% discount on Hertz MiniLease offers (cannot be accumulated with other promotions).
Do you als ooffer vans in your MiniLease fleet?
Yes, subscriptions are also possible with our commercial vehicles. For exact price information, please have a look at our Vans section or contact us directly using the form opposite.
Can I collect Gold Plus Rewards with MiniLease?
Yes, please inform our employees at the stations. You can register here for the Gold Plus Rewards programme.
What insurance cover options are there?
There is the basic insurance cover option which is aways included in the price. With this option, theft protection and liability reduction with a deductible of between CHF 1000 and CHF 5000 are included. There is the possibility of reducing the deductible to CHF 0. In addition, there is the option of selecting all-inclusive insurance cover (SuperCover)
What do I do in the event of a breakdown?
As a MiniLease customer, you benefit from 24/7 breakdown assistance. The details can be found in the lease contract or obtained from our Service Team.
What conditions apply for the subscription of a vehicle?
You must be at least 19 years old and have a valid driving licence for at least 1 year. For vehicles of the Hertz Prestige Collection, a minimum age of 25 years applies. Please contact us for further information. In addition, the general terms and conditions of business of Hertz apply.
Are there fuel cards for business customers?
No, we do not offer fuel cards.
What rules apply to EU citizens crossing the border from Switzerland in a rental car?
If you are a resident in the EU and rent a car in Switzerland, you are not allowed to leave the country with the car.
Do you also offer car subscriptions abroad?
No enquiries for long-term rentals abroad are possible via hertzminilease.ch. For this, please contact the central reservations office on 0848 822 020.
Can somebody else other than me drive the leased vehicle?
The second driver has to be registered. The second driver has to provide proof of identity at a Hertz station.
Can a third party pay for my rental if I do not have my own credit card?
Yes, but the credit card holder has to be present on collection. With Prestige vehicles, this regulation does not apply, and the driver also has to be the holder of the credit card.
